Here’s a quick guide on how to get started in Rekles Racing. We build off the amazing game, BeamNG; which is a physics simulation game to make driving and damaging your vehicle realistic. From there we add on multiplayer provided by BeamMP and then sprinkle in some of our own mods and many of the community mods from Rough Country Crawlers (RCC), Beam Desert Racing (BDR), DriverTech Customs, and many many many more.
Note that this game is for PC play only. It is not currently supported on any gaming consoles. With that said, let’s get into the install:
- Install BeamNG
- Create a Steam account if you don’t already have one.
- Purchase BeamNG from Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/284160/BeamNGdrive/)
- This is the core game for playing. Everything else is modifications to incorporate multi player and off-road racing addons
- Install BeamMP
- This is a BeamNG Multiplayer Add-on. Since BeamNG is currently a single player game, a mod has been made to allow you to join private and public servers to play with others.
- Install the BeamMP Client (not the server) from the BeamMP website: https://beammp.com/
- This will create a shortcut on your desktop. To play in multiplayer, you will need to load into the game from this shortcut so that the multiplayer option shows
- Join the Rekles Racing Discord
- This channel will have all topics, discussions, information, schedules and a helpful community to get you up onto the servers and racing if you like.
- Join the discord here: https://discord.com/reklesracing
- Subscribe to one of the membership levels to get access to the different maps, cars and racing action.
- Come crawl or race with us.
- In the top left corner you will see an event schedule where you can view what is coming up and what type of racing or crawling it is.
- Also keep an eye out in chat for public callouts and socializing events
